William L. Richardson Jr. 1 404 636-0539. The address is 1599 Council Bluff Dr. N.E. Atlanta GA 30345 I am excited but very nervous about making contact. Bill Richardson a Marine vet of Iwo Jima, great guy.
Vestella was the oldest sister and married Luther Richardson.They had three children, Bill, Carolyn and Charlotte. Bill and Mable were only about 2 weeks apart in age. Carolyn lives in Birmingham and she may be the one who could tell you the most about Mable. Charlotte passed away in 2004 almost a year after Mable.
Craig,I just received your e-mail and am excited we finally found Aunt Ethel. I bet she is in a nursing home in Ellaville. I will let my friend Lynn know and she can find out from her contacts in Ellaville. As soon as I get more information Lynn and I will probably go to Ellaville to see her even if she is not able to tell us anything. ( Lynn's parents are buried in Lee county), and she often goes to their grave.
Since we now know that the Richardson's are related some how would you call today and see what you can find out.

Thank you for sending the blog. I looked at the first picture but will check the rest out and send the link on to my sisters. I definitely see a resemblance in both of you. Beth looks a great deal like Mable and I believe you favor Ethel and Vestella a little more.
I am about 12 miles north of downtown Atlanta. Traffic will be much lighter on Saturday so that would probably be the best day but I can take Marta downtown if that works best for you.
Mable was one of nine children but two of them, Johnny and Mary, died when they were small and one brother Theo was drowned when he was a young man. He may have been working on the Lake Okeechobee dam when it broke and killed a number of people but I do not know this for a fact.
Vestella was the oldest sister and married Luther Richardson.They had three children, Bill, Carolyn and Charlotte. Bill and Mable were only about 2 weeks apart in age. Carolyn lives in Birmingham and she may be the one who could tell you the most about Mable. Charlotte passed away in 2004 almost a year after Mable.
Charles was the next brother and he moved to Little Rock after serving in World War II. His wife was named Jean and they had a son Robert and a daughter Debra. Charles died of lung cancer around 1960 and Jean remarried so we have not had much contact with them but Debra and I do correspond sometimes.
Ethel married Ralph Walters and lived in Ellaville but they had no children.
James the youngest brother was killed in action on Normandy beach in World War II.
This is a very short summary of the family but I hope it gives you an idea. I will find more pictures for you. I have one of Mable when she was probably in her twenties and will send it as soon as I locate it.
I hope the attachments come through this time.

The group picture is Mable in the bonnet, her father, Bill Richardson who is very close to the same age as Mable and her mother standing. The other two are her mother, our grandmother, one was made in the 50's when she was probably in her early sixties or late fifties and the other when she was young. I have others but will have to look for them. I also have a family history that Mable compiled I will give you a copy of that.
If you had rather come to my house than meet downtown that would be fine too. I thought it might be easier for you to meet but we can work that out. My address is 2958 Redding Rd. Atlanta 30319 and I am just off Peachtree Rd. I will talk to my sisters and see if they have any more information

Clarence was the oldest son and her married Mildred Murray from Americus. I am the oldest of five daughters. My sisters are Grace, Dorothy,
Carol and Helen.

She will be driving back to Athens on Sat. I am not too good at navigating the Atlanta traffic and wanted to leave so I could get home before dark on Sat. I will look at the map and talk to her and then we can decide.
I know all of this must be quite a shock to you, but I am so excited to be able to meet you and find relatives. I know Mable was your aunt, but whose child are you and whose child is Bill Richardson. I would love to meet all of you. It has been wonderful finding Beth, because I always wanted a sister. I know Mable would have been proud of us.
